Working with others...

Hopton Primary School welcomes opportunities for our small school to work with others. We are currently part of the Thurston Partnership, which consists of 16 Primary Schools working together to improve the outcomes for children. In 2017-2018, Hopton has been invloved in many different events with the Partnership, whether this be sporting activites for the children, CDP for staff or team teaching across year groups, we strive to use the resources around us to make sure we are providing the best education for the children. Below is link that details the work of the Partnership.

In 2017-2018, we have been delighted to be support by Ixworth Free School. Hopton have worked closely with the Ixworth to support able and talented children and those who have needed a boost within subjects. We have also had the opportunity to visit the school, participating in a wonderful Science and Design Technology afternoon. The children thoroughly the event and came away buzzing about the experience they had. We hope to continue these fantastic links as we moved into Autumn 2018.

In Summer 2018, Hopton School teamed up with Barrow CEVC Primary for an Art morning, which celebrated our faith and reinforced the growth mindset bubbling around the school. Children from Barrow school worked with our year three four children to create a spectacular master piece based on angel wings, for the school hall. Both the Barrow children and the children from Hopton were extremely proud of their efforts.
