Welcome from the Headteacher



Welcome to the Hopton CEVC Primary School website and thank you for showing an interest in our school.The school is known for its warm and friendly atmosphere and Christian ethos. Our staff, parents, carers, governors and friends in the community aim to provide a positive learning environment in which children are challenged and enjoy their learning. We are here because we believe that each child is special, that each child has unique talents and abilities and that together we can nurture and encourage every child to grow into independent, rounded individuals. 

We know that children learn best when they feel secure and valued and this leads to them being confident learners who are willing to express and try out ideas.We encourage all of our children to contribute to the life of the school and appreciate and respect the contribution of others.We were very proud to be recognised by OFSTED as 'GOOD' in December 2018. However we are on a constant ‘learning journey’ and continue to drive forward together.

School Vision


Our vision is that by the time all of our children leave the school they will have:

A high standard of academic, physical, emotional and social skills;

An excellent understanding and awareness of spiritual, moral, social and cultural aspects of life;

A desire to be successful, to innovate and to celebrate all that is good;

An appreciation, understanding and respect for the Christian faith and have developed an awareness of other beliefs;

The school's Christian based family environment will be greatly expanded on ensuring that our spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is of the highest quality and that we are a fully integrated and active part of the community.
