Vision and Values

Hopton C of E Primary Academy is a Christian school where we grow together through being;

ROOTED in relationships

FLOURISHING in character

CONNECTED in community

Our vision supports our new logo. A willow tree is part of our history as it was at the front of the school. A local resident created the wire sculpture at the front of the school after the tree had to sadly be cut down. We believe that our children are rooted in relationships and we use this analogy of the tree for this. We are ambitious for our children and want them to flourish in character and we aim to develop the whole child through the experiences we offer at Hopton. Our rainbow represents this. Community is really important to us at Hopton and the school remains at the heart of Hopton.

Our vision is underpinned by the bible passage from Psalm 1;

‘He is like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in season whose leaf does not wither and who prospers in all he does.’ 

The values of our school are important to us and form the basis of our collective worships each year. We focus on one each half term but bring our vision and values into everything we do.

Our first four values are:

Respect

Perseverance

Friendship

Forgiveness

The final two values will be decided by children in our school this term!
